I believe that back in my day, the kids called that the "carb," as in carburetor.

I think you can still use "carb"-- That's just what it is. Lots of words have too more meanings.

And no, I just didn't come back to see what everyone else's "friends" used to call this in high school.

Molly seems to even know the philosophy behind it... pretty advanced!
